Editorial Policy
Our aim is to give the most accurate impression of what other customers have said about their experience of using Light Bulbs First, but we have to balance this with other goals, such as protecting our customer's privacy, and staying out of legal trouble. To achieve this, all feedback we receive is treated as follows:
- All feedback received is displayed on this page, unless
- the sender asks that it be kept private
- we are prohibited from displaying it by law, or to comply with an order from a court of law
- more recent feedback has caused it to "scroll off the page"
- it is otherwise excluded in accordance with this policy
- We edit feedback, performing the following steps, when and as required
- remove or abbreviate information identifying our customers, to protect their privacy
- change the spelling and sentence structure to enhance clarity, while retaining the original meaning
- remove or abbreviate those parts of a message which aren't feedback, don't contribute to the original meaning, or are irrelevant to potential customers
- remove or abbreviate trade secrets which our competitors are dying to uncover
- Feedback will be excluded from publication if
- it is in a language other than English
- it is from someone who we believe hasn't actually used our services
- we deem it offensive, unprofessional, libellous, illegal or a breach of what is accepted good taste
- after editing (see above), there's nothing left to publish
- we received it before 19/03/2008 at 10:00, which is when we changed our terms to say that we will publish feedback
Every customer and every order receives our personal attention: we aim for very high levels of service. Unfortunately, sometimes (even if rarely) things go wrong. While we guarantee that we will work hard to ensure you'll join (or stay in) the big majority of happy customers, your personal experience can vary from the views expressed by other customers.
